Using the Microscope

1. Turn on the light source.
2. Put the slide on the specimen stage, held by the slide clip.
3. Select the objective (the part containing the lens) with the lowest magnification.
4. Center the specimen over the circle of light.
5. Use the coarse focus knob first before using the fine focus knob.
6. Position the part of the specimen you want to see more clearly in the center of view.
7. When you change to a higher magnification objective lens, focus with the fine focus knob.
